“Human nature has always fascinated me as a choreographer. I am particularly captivated by our mortal fragility in contrast to the incredible strength and resilience we can draw upon in extreme situations. This combined with my passion for animals, our environment and sustainable living thrusts my work in a new direction as we enter a new decade. For my children’s future I feel compelled to join the global movement and make work that raises awareness to the problems we face as inhabitants on this amazing planet. I want to remind audiences of the beauty our world and the inhabitants on it hold so that we can change the way we live on it. I endeavour to create work that connects with it’s audience, providing an empowering and uplifting experience for all parties involved, performer, choreographer and spectator.”
